    Somalia Expels Ethiopian Diplomat for Violating Sovereignty and Diplomatic Protocols

    The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, by taking decisive measures to protect the Somali national interests and maintain international diplomatic standards, affirms its commitment to protecting its sovereignty and the unity of its territories in accordance with international law.

    The Ministry announces that Mr. Ali Mohammed Adam, currently serving as the Second Counselor of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Ethiopia to Somalia, has engaged in illegal activities that are not in accordance with his diplomatic role, and these actions are a violation of the Vienna Agreement on Diplomatic Relations (1961), especially articles 41 and 42, which comply with the diplomatic mission and all its associates with respect to laws The host state and refrain from interfering in its own internal affairs.

    According to him, the Ministry declares that Mr. Ali Mohamed Adam is an undesirable person in the Federal Republic of Somalia and is asked to leave the country within 72 hours from the moment of receiving this notification, and this action emphasizes the commitment of Somalia to maintaining international diplomatic protocols and maintaining its national sovereignty and the safety of its territories.
