The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has arrived at the frontlines of the ongoing offensive against terrorist insurgents, specifically in the district of Aadan Yabaal, where he is leading operations to liberate remaining territories under militant control.
During his visit, President Mohamud will assess the situation of the Somali National Army (SNA) and local forces engaged in the liberation efforts. He will also receive briefings from military commanders and frontline leaders who have recently inflicted significant losses on the enemy.
Furthermore, the President will review the living conditions in the areas recently freed from militant control. The Somali government has been actively providing humanitarian support, essential services, and care to residents who endured hardship under terrorist occupation.
The Federal Government of Somalia commends the resilience of Somali youth, women, community elders, and religious leaders who have stood against extremism. It also praises the heroic efforts of the Somali National Army personnel who continue to sacrifice their lives for the nation’s sovereignty and stability.
